For more than three decades, Larry Hill devoted his life to helping others as a physician, caring for patients around the world.

His career spanned 18 years in private practice and 15 years as a doctor in the U.S. Foreign Service, working in Africa and Asia.

Today, Larry continues his commitment to science and improving people’s lives through philanthropy.

“I always said if I had the resources…I would give money away,” he says.

And that’s just what Larry and his wife, Terry Gillman Hill, are doing. One of their many beneficiaries is the American Committee for the Weizmann Institute of Science, an organization that not only aligns with their Jewish heritage but whose cancer research Larry took a particular interest in, as it’s a field he also studied.

They chose to support the the American Committee with a charitable gift annuity (CGA).

“With the CGA concept, not only do you give money away, you get some in return over the course of your life,” Larry says. “It made all the sense in the world to me.”

The couple has made nearly three dozen CGA gifts, supporting everything from their alma maters to their local symphony and opera.

“If you’re interested in making contributions to advance science and education, this is a very good place to start, with the recognition that the CGA is financially advantageous to the the American Committee and yourself,” Larry says.

Like the Hills, you too can support science for the benefit of humanity and receive stable, regular income for life. Learn more about the many benefits of a charitable gift annuity by contacting Sandra Mizrahi at 212.895.7941 or legacy@acwis.org.
